It is a great honor to support our sisters new to motherhood in the wast ocean of postpartum. She shall feel held, witnessed, cared for, revered and honoured. She shall be surrounded by love, reverence, beauty and quietude.
We hold her hand and reflect her own wisdom and power back to her.

The fourth Trimester
If you asked me if I needed anyone at my birth I would asnwer no, that is just my personal preference, but if you ask me the same question about postpartum my answer will be very different...
... I would say that I wished for my whole family and assembly of girl friends to care for me, listen to me, cry with me, feed me, massage me and hold me as I go through the enormous process of change and getting to know the soul that has so abundantly entered my life.
The practice of confinement, in this context a restricted resting season for you and your baby, has always been the service women in the new-mother´s community, in all cultures, throughout time has offered the mother. .
We have lost this culture but we can just pick it up again!

Touch, presence and wittnessing
A clean and beautiful home
As a woman who has studyed and lived trhough multiple postoartums I know how important nourishment for the new mother is. I offer warm foods and if you want I will make it based on old traditions of warm foods specifically designed to suppport your body in healing.
I offer a wide range of dishes and herbal teas that will give your body the boost and your baby the best milk.
Having another woman touch you with gentle massage is what I think we forget we need postpartum, this is of course, if the mother wishes this service.
I will also listen to your birth story, as many times as it need to be told, and I will hold and create a space that is of reverence and witnessing, whatever comes up and need sto be processed during this massive rite of passage that birth is.
A healing mother needs beauty, and to let go of all the household duties, it is my sheer joy to make your home beautiful and cosy so that you can relax and focus on your baby and rest.
Newborn Care, Nursing and babysitting
Is there any questions or wonders about new born care, your nursing journey or a need to have a babysitter for older siblings I am happy to meet you and mirror your needs,
Closing the portal of Birth
This is an old traditional way of holding the mother and closing the window of postpartum. It is done around the 40 day mark after birth. As large schals hold the woman tight, the body and finds grounding, her nervous system relaxes and her emotions can settle. It is combined with a gentle massage and a sharing of her birth and her first season of mothering this baby.
It is not a magic ritual but an embrace and a time for the mother to come into her body from being extremely open, as her body opened for birth and as her energetic bio-field opened to care for and know her baby.
